~Happy Birthday~

Posted by Unknown at 11:24 PM 0 comments
I knew her since we were both 9 years old. We were studied in the same kinder garden, same primary school, same secondary school and also the same form six before entering university. She is a pretty, tall, and nice girl who is studying in Universiti Malaysia Sabah now and going to graduate within 2 months.

Although we knew each other since standard 3, but our close friendship was started in Form 4. She was the president of school prefect when we were both studying in Form 4. Her kindness, caring and always treat people with true heart was the main reason I love her so much.

I was the secretary in school prefect team for year 2006 and 2007, and she really teached me and helped me alot in the 2 years. I knew it was not her job responsibilty but she was still willing to lent her hands for me whenever I felt tired.

Our friendship became more and more closer in the 2 years Form 6 life. We sat together in the class, car pooling to school, attended the same tuition classes, participated the same activities in school and also formed our own self-study group after school. We had promised to each other that we must enter the same university in the future. Unfortunately, when we received the offered letters, it stated that I got UUM and she got UMS. Although it was a sad case, but we still accepted the offers and made another promise to each other. We promised that we must keep in touch and could not let our friendship fade even though we are going to separate in the next 3 years.

God bless! Our friendship became stronger and stronger in these 3 years. We keep in touch by sms, facebook, phone call and skype. Another great news that she told me recently was she finally found her dream man. I was so happy that she could find her boy friend and I hope they will stay sweet and happy always.

Today is her birthday and what I would like to say is " HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear friend, Leng Yeen Kuan!! I love you!! "

Dad! Where Are We Going?

Posted by Unknown at 11:19 PM 0 comments
I am currently in love with a variety show called <Dad! Where Are We Going?> It is a Korean reality show that takes celebrity dads and their children on a 2 days 1 night camping trip at the countryside without moms!

In the trip, the fathers and children will be given some tasks and they have to complete it in the time given. For example, they have to play a game to pick where they are going to sleep at night. Besides, children have to go out to find or to buy ingredients for dinner to be cooked by their fathers. Fathers have to help their child to get ready for bed and also have to cook breakfast for them in the next morning with the very limited ingredients.
Throughout the show, you can feel the strong sense of togetherness that is gained from these small tasks and that could be the beauty behind it. These are celebrity males (many of whom admit that they often spend a lot of time away from their families) and the unscripted rawness of seeing them bond with their children is truly heart-warming to watch.

Ipoh One Day Trip

Posted by Unknown at 12:30 AM 0 comments
Today is gathering day for me and my best friends in hometown. We departed to Ipoh at 9am and had our favourite dimsum as breakfast when we reached there at 10am.

Ipoh is famous with  Hong Kong style dimsum and there are really a lot of dimsum restaurants. Ming Kok Hong Kong Dimsum is the one we choose today. It is a well-known dimsum restaurant among the others because it used to be interviewed by TV program and also food magazine. The food taste good and the price is reasonable. This is the reason why it has so much customers.

Here are a part of our food~
We went to AEON Station 18 for shopping after breakfast. As it is Saturday, the mall were crowded by teenagers and young people. We just shop for a while then went cinema for the new Chinese movie, “Heroes Yang”. It was a meaningful and touching story which ends up with a sad ending.

After movie, it is lunch time again. We decide to eat pizza as our lunch. Without thinking much, Pizza Hut is chosen due to the limited budget.

It’s the excited moment of the day! Singing!! We sing from 4pm until 9pm nonstop and the funniest is we have to “rampas” microphone from each other because we have 5 persons but only 3 microphones provided. We really did not feel any tiredness even 5 hours had passed.

Cheers~
We had our dinner at Old Town White Coffee and back home at 10.30pm. It was a happy gathering and I hope to meet you all again very soon. Good night everyone!

Last day in Singapore!

Posted by Unknown at 10:00 PM 0 comments
It was our last day in Singapore. As it was Monday and all cousins have to work, so only 3 of us (me, kee chin and aunt) went out today. Bugis Street and Bugis Junction were our targets. The shops here selling their clothes at very low price. As expected, we bought some clothes here.

Aunt brought us to eat lunch at MOS Burger in Bugis Junction. It is a fast-food restaurant chain that originated in Japan and now the second-largest fast-food franchise in Japan after McDonald's. It owns numerous overseas outlets over East Asia, including Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Indonesia, but there is still zero outlet in Malaysia. =(

We ordered the 'kaisen kakiage rice burger' (fresh seafood shrimp fritter rice burger), the 'buta shoga yaki rice burger' (grilled pork and ginger rice burger), and also 'yakiniku rice burger' (grilled strips of beef rice burger). I liked the second one because it really taste good just like I am in the heaven. Haha~

Sedapnya~~~
Before back home, we went to the Guan Yin Temple near the Bugis MRT station. It is a popular temple in Singapore. “Why is the Guan Yin Temple so popular and made it became so crowded with devotees even it was a working day???” This was the question I asked to my aunt.

She told me the legend that during the World War I or II period, when the Japanese fighter planes dropped bombs in Bugis area, all the buildings surrounding and around the temple were destroyed and zero to the ground. The temple was the only left building, un-destroyed, un-touched, that still stands there, firmly.

There were even rumours as well, that the Japanese pilots flying the plane, at that time, could see a bright circle of aura, surrounding the temple, as if a shield protecting the temple. From then onwards, people believes that the Goddess of Mercy had show her power. So till today, the temple is always full of devotees. (p/s: no photo of Guan Yin Temple to share because it is a place for devotees to pray and it’s rude to take photo)

Singapore trip had came to the end at 7pm. It’s time to go back o our own country, Malaysia. Bye bye~

Holiday in Singapore Day 2

Posted by Unknown at 4:30 PM 0 comments
Another great day was waiting for us in the second day of Singapore trip. After having the healthy homemade breakfast cooked by aunt, we started our schedules at 11am.

First, we went to Marina Bay Sands shopping mall. There were many luxury stores include Gucci, Prada, Chanel and so on. A canal runs through the length of the shops and “Sampan rides on the canal are available for guests and shoppers at the shopping mall. The Rain Oculus above the shopping mall canal was awesome!

Then we walked to Gardens by the Bay which was just next to Marina Bay Sands. Gardens by the Bay is an integral part of a strategy by the Singapore government to transform Singapore from a "Garden City" to a "City in a Garden". The stated aim is to raise the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city.

There was Marina Bay Sands Hotel behind us on the way we walked to Gardens by the Bay.

After that, we headed to the Esplanade. Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is a waterside building located near the mouth of the Singapore River, purpose-built to be the centre for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore.

Do you see the Esplanade behind us??

Last place to visit in the evening was the Merlion Park near the Singapore City Hall. The Merlion is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". It is a well-known tourist icon of Singapore.

Holiday in Singapore!

Posted by Unknown at 2:25 PM 0 comments
Last Saturday, I went to Singapore for 3 days 2 nights holiday with my cousin, Kee Chin. Early in the morning, we were heading to LCCT airport and had our breakfast at McDonald before the flight departs. Our flight was AK 1809, departed at 8.30am from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.

This is the photo we took in the plane.
I was shocked when arrived to the Changi Airport Singapore because it was really really big compare to our LCCT airport. There were 3 terminals which you have to take a train to go to each of them. We could see Terminal 4 was in progressing. It was really bravo!

After check out, Kee Chin and I followed the route map of MRT to go to my another cousin, Chrissie’s house. We used an hour to go her house by taking MRT. The MRT system in Singapore was good and convenient. Almost all the places in Singapore could be reached by taking MRT.

When we reached her house, she and her husband were welcoming us with great smiles while aunt and big cousin sister, Sally were busy preparing lunch in the kitchen. While waiting for lunch, Chrissie brought us to walk around her house and went to the mini market just opposite to her house to buy some drinks.

After lunch, we took MRT to go to the first destination which was Vivocity. It was a big shopping mall located at Harbour Front. As it was Saturday, the whole mall was crowded with people. We just had a short walk and then went to Sentosa which was just next to Vivocity. The entry fee was only 2 SGD and we could enjoy for one whole day.

We took this photo at the entrance of Sentosa.
The places that we had visited in Sentosa including the Asian Street which was selling variety of Asian food n stuffs, Resorts World Casino, Asia biggest Candylicious shop, Tanjung Beach, Siloso Beach, Merlion Statue.

Just took picture in front of the Universal Studio entrance, but didn't go inside.
Should it be my new profile picture in Facebook?? ^^
After dinner at a Chinese restaurant near Sentosa, we went back home with a tired body. As there were many people staying in Chrissie’s house that day, we had to queue for bathroom and toilet. Haha, Good night!
